Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course offers an overview of each of the different fields in psychology, giving the student the necessary knowledge to pursue their chosen field as well as a basic understanding of the psychology community.

    Course highlights:

We spent time learning about the different fields in psychology, such as Cognitive, Developmental, Health, and Social psychology. Students were also given the chance to participate in psychological studies and review past studies.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I used a lot of flash cards for this course, and the professor taught us a lot of studying tips that were based in psychology such as basing questions and situations in real-life applications to understand the concepts that were taught which I found very useful and can be applied to many subjects.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course! You learn lots of interesting concept about why humans act certain ways. Its the basic stepping stones for psychology. Its definitely a good course to take to figure out if psychology is the right path for you or not.

    Course highlights:

You learn the begging concepts of psychology. You learn things like the cognitive dissonance theory. Or why we express emotions the way we do. Its definitely a good course to take to figure out if psychology is the right path for you or not.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Most of the time you're taking this course as a freshman, and as a freshman things can get quite confusing and difficult. My best advice to give to students is to speak up, if you need help go see the professor before it gets too late. Don't be afraid to ask question, even in lectures, because most of the time there are probably other students who have the same exact question. Make sure if there is a required textbook to talk to the professor and ask about how much you will be using the textbook in class, because sometimes you don't even need it, and you could save yourself $300. But if it is required, and there are readings to do, make sure you do them!
