    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I LOVED this class! Yes everyone says it's the hardest but it can be passed in the first time and will require you to do a lot of extra stuff outside of class. Jackie is the best professor at Baruch and I would take her for every class. She understands how exhausted students are and how much of ourselves we put into or work. She's open to emailing you notes, helping you with homework, she every lets you nap in class if you really can't stay awake. She doesn't judge or get angry at any student for their struggles.

    Course highlights:

The topics flowed into each other so much smoother than any of baruch's other accounting classes! It makes understanding each new chapter easier because half of each chapter is what you learned in a previous chapter. It feels like the work load is cut in half when you already know half the steps.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Get as much tutoring as possible. Use course hero! Those deadlines come really quick and if life ever decides to remind you it exists, you'll need help getting that homework submitted on time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is mandatory for accounting majors. It is very challenging. Best advise is to understand all the topics in the book and try to get old exams to prepare for the midterms and finals. There is also free workshop for this class, which is very helpful.

    Course highlights:

Even though this course is very challenging, you start to love it once you understand all the topics. It is more interesting than other accounting courses and very helpful in accounting industry. This is course is good if you are planning to be in manufacturing industry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard. After understanding the topics, try practicing lot of problems. If possible, find old exam problems.
