Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a must for all biology majors at CUNY City College. That being said it is one of the most interesting introductory courses that you will take. Profesor Firooznia teaches the course in great detail and if you pay attention, you will learn all the fundamentals that you need to succeed later on in your college career. He was easy to understand and he was always free for question after class or during office hours. I highly recommend him because I am still benefiting from all the information that I learned from him.

    Course highlights:

I gained a wider perspective on biology after taking this class and I learned a great deal about the first evolution of the eukaryote. The theory of Lynn Margulis and her idea of how the first eukaryote came to be was fascinating to learn. This was the highlight of my time in the class because it was so interesting and it marked the beginning of my educational career in biology.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course will be easy if you attend all the lectures, do all the assigned reading and read and re-read the textbook and your notes outside of class. If you have any difficulty understanding the material, just visit Professor Firooznia's office and he will help you or suggest a tutor to help.
