    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is mandatory for Civil Engineering students and requires a strong work ethic. This class will shake you to your core and show you that you can be an engineer. When I signed up for this class I did not know quite how much I would learn or how much I would have to work. Overall, this class was one of the few that will never leave you and is quite helpful later on. This course shows you what life will be like after school.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were hearing about the professors experiences and being able to see her work. Professor Reid is an accomplished engineer with multiple degrees and a work ethic that I have never seen another human possess. I learned about steel masonry, brick masonry, concrete, foundations, and the process of creating a building.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are a student that will be taking this course, my advice for you is to not overload. This class will be incredibly difficult and will require much more work than most of the other classes you have taken. This class is homework and research oriented. You should definitely work on your time management skills before taking this class.
