Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Everyone says that organic chemistry is tough but the truth is you get out of this course what you put into it. As long as you work hard and stay on top of the material, you'll do well. And you might find that you actually enjoy chemistry. That's what happened to me and its something that I wasn't expecting.
The highlight for me was seeing the applications of organic chemistry to real life especially in terms of drug development. I've always wondered why it costs so much and takes so long to develop a single drug. This class helped me understand a little bit about that process and gave me a new appreciation for pharmaceutical companies.

Advice for students:
The number one tip I can offer is stay on top of the material from day one. If you fall behind it will be very difficult to catch up. Go to office hours. Asking for help with things you don't understand will go along way to helping you do well in the course. Also look into a private tutor if you are really struggling. This can be helpful. Ask lots of questions. No question is stupid and if you were thinking it, chances are someone else was thinking it too. Lastly, if possible, when you take organic chemistry, try not to take too many other classes or other difficult classes simultaneously. Organic chemistry does require a lot of study time outside class and you won't have enough time to study if you are doing too much at the same time.
