Pretty easy, overall.
Professor Carlin was interesting, intriguing, and provided an insight into women's psychology from a different context. She always engaged with the class and loved to hear opinions from everyone. Professor Carlin always presented a warm and safe atmosphere that it felt comfortable and encouraging to share opinions in such a big lecture class especially after the election of 2016. She gave insight on the misogyny that women have had to endure for the past several hundred of years and the different treatment they receive from men without putting down men.
The highlights of this course was the fact that Professor Carlin encouraged many discussions with the class despite it being quite a large lecture course. I feel like I learned a lot from hearing the many different inputs and opinions from my peers. It was very respectful and it refreshing to learn how women have involved to gain respect and change their derogatory view in society. Professor Carlin wanted to educate on the double standard and double binds that women receive compared to men on a variety of subjects such as respect in the work force, a difference in pay wage, and much more.
