    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have to admit that this course was one of the hardest I have ever taken, but also the course where I have learned the most. Banergee is a pretty decent lecturer and I advise you to listen to her lectures very well and stick to her powerpoints because that is where all of her questions comes from. Take your time reading your notes and the textbook. Also practice practice practice the recitation questions!!!

    Course highlights:

What you learned in chemistry and biology is usually very factual and hard to apply to real life. But with biochemistry, it bridges everything together and it really makes sense to how so many biological processes work. For example, cellulose is a form of carbohydrate, which is also what glucose is, but why does our body metabolize glucose, but not cellulose?

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Listen and record her lectures because they are very important. I would recommend listening to her lectures while reading over the slides. You should memorize the slides very very well. Also, practice the practice questions in the textbook and the recitation questions.
