    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend it unless it’s required. If you take it, make sure to create a study guide for yourself of all vocabulary words from the Pika book and notes from the excerpts in the Nelson Reader. He doesn't like to discuss midterm or finals and does not have any type of review. It is basically a self taught class. Follow the syllabus. Do the readings. The exams consists of define the vocabulary and short essays. I cannot stress enough... DO THE READINGS!! It is a lot to read. Some of it is interesting some of it not so much. Pay attention in class when he calls out specific Nelson excerpts; those are more likely than not to appear on the exam. Bonus, there are no essays required outside of the exams BUT you can get extra credit after an exam to boost your grade. He is very open to general political discussion which was entertaining at times.

    Course highlights:

I learned the different roles of a President and about the specific job duties. The information was very similar to Social studies in elementary school and government in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

READ EVERYTHING. I will continue to repeat this as many times as CourseHero allows me to. Taking notes in class didn't help or hurt me. But I created a very detailed study guide and had two study group sessions so that we could understand the concepts presented in the text and so that we can understand the point of any given excerpt and how it relates to the presidency and the associated powers. AGAIN, READ EVERYTHING. You will NEED both books. Without a doubt.
