Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Microbiology as we know is a very broad course but this professor takes his time to explain the topics very well and also gives exams after every 3 - 4 chapters to test for understanding. He also had office hours to help students with any questions they might have

    Course highlights:

I learnt more about the types of bacteria we have and how some can or cannot be destroyed by temperature or harsh conditions. Also learnt about passive and active immunity. And diseases.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take your notes and textbook seriously. Make them your best friends and try to pay attention in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very informative! You really do learn a lot in this course. Stay up to date in all the work and do all the extra credit you can. It really does pay off!

    Course highlights:

The labs are the best part about this course. You learn so much about bacteria and their growth. You really consider the millions of different types of bacteria - good and bad.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! Professor Nikonov is tough there is no doubt about it. BUT he does know his stuff and really notices when students are working hard. Tons of extra credit opportunities too. He truly knows so much about microbio. Definitely recommend taking this course.
