    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course encourages critical thinking in analysis and writing development. Both of those qualities are important not only in writing articles or responses to pieces of literature read, but in making smarter decisions in life.

    Course highlights:

The course highlighted the importance of context in the meaning of a literary text. Context can provide motive and allow one to put themselves in the position of the writer. I learned that in order to fully understand and appropriately respond to anything, I must understand the background information.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the texts, do background research on the author's location, time period, major events happening around the time the text was written, then take notes on how context may have altered your interpretation of the text.
