    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is set up as a flipped classroom, where students watch lectures before lecture and go into lecture and work on in class problems while Dr. Ward is there offering assistance to students who need it. Personally, the flipped classroom wasn't the best for me, i liked having the lectures to listen to, but i feel as if i would've been able to learn more through in class lectures as well as the online ones.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed Dr. Ward's odd sense of humor that he would throw into his online and in class lectures to make students feel more comfortable and to help them learn more information. He would also have us watch some really interesting videos relating to topics we were learning.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't go into this (or any science) course thinking that it's going to be easy. This course is a building block for later courses and it is so important to make sure that you actually understand the information your learning in each step along the way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is mostly self taught, and requires you actually read the text book. There are things that are not covered in lecture that will appear on the test because it is assumed that you know. The testing structure can be somewhat confusing, but the overall content is not to difficult.

    Course highlights:

This course covers the basics of chemistry including atomic structure and forming of compounds. This course also teaches how to apply calculations in a chemistry setting, and is heavily based on multi step problems that require some calculation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the practice problems and ask for help if you can not solve them. Take a practice test or quiz to help you study before an exam.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a challenging course, and it isn't anything like highschool. The classroom is set up in a reversed fashion. Meaning the professor doesn't actually teach, the students teach themselves outside of class, and then work on problems in class where he can help grasp the concept.

    Course highlights:

The course really helped to kick everything in to shape, because as a high school student I put off way more than I should have, and this course didn't allow for that type of behavior.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters before watching the lectures, and do the suggested problems because they do really help. Also, never ever wing it, study everything all the time.
