    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Teverson is a very dedicated professor and incredibly enthusiastic about what he teaches. However, he is a very harsh grader but I would still take his course again if I had the opportunity. I would recommend that when writing papers, that you write a draft in advance and bring it to him in office hours for him to look over and give you advice.

    Course highlights:

I really liked the Ancient Greek unit in the course because I have always found Ancient Greece to be fascinating and to be able to learn their methods and reasoning behind their sculptures was my highlight of this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take thorough notes in class and read the textbook because it definitely helps with information that he will cover in class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor poses thought provoking questions and helps connect art historical events to each other as well as to modern day careers, stressing the relevance of art history as a field of study

    Course highlights:

I learned how art history is ultimately a story-one that we pull and put together from paintings and works responding to the world. Sometimes our version of the story may be wrong or gloss over things, but it's all ultimately just a story. Highlight was going to The Cloisters for an essay.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Tests are difficult - was wondering why I was scoring so low then I realized exact dates and date ranges are required, which was a first for any art history course I had ever taken (most classes give a 50 year range for Renaissance Art and 500 years for Classical Greek/Roman artworks) and he doesn't specifically make note of this in class, it's just assumed
