Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a worthy way to test one's proficiency in the Spanish language. Students are encouraged to practice the language in everyday settings in this exit-level course. This course focuses heavily on current events to allow students to articulate their thoughts in a foreign language and translate their words. The course is heavily focused on group projects as well as writing in Spanish.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight on this course was that it focused on current events. This course allowed students to become not only in the Spanish language but also in the world around them. It seemed easier to speak conversationally in Spanish after speaking in class and using terms related to current events.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Use the flashcards in the online component to the textbook to study for compositions and midterm and final exams. Also, reach out to group partners immediately so the project is not left until last minute to complete - the projects are worth a large portion of the grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great course with a lot of Spanish speaking involved. The class was interactive not just a lecture style class and almost everyone got involved on a daily basis although she did not call students out. This is a great course for people who are good at speaking Spanish but may struggle with grammar- you can still get a good grade. Also vice-versa. If you put in work it will pay off.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the interactive styles of learning. We would watch movies, discuss them in Spanish, and do projects. The group projects were a good way to get to know others in the class, they were fun and informative. We would present in front of the class, but everyone was in the same boat. Overall a great course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Speak up in class- she loves participation. Also be sure to memorize all of the vocabulary for the exams. She is not too hard on grammar but if you ever need help definitely schedule a meeting with her. She is very willing to help students and wants her students to succeed.
