Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Before taking this course, I was never a huge fan of english. I love reading books and learning about different types of genres, authors, etc., but the subject of english was never my favorite. For me, writing essays or papers has always been hard and challenging. Due to past teachers and different learning styles, understanding grammar and writing styles were difficult for me. But after taking this course with Professor Colonna, my interest in english grew. His teaching style made me feel comfortable asking questions about what I didn't know or asking to spend more time on one particular lesson. Given that my class size was pretty small, he was able to meet with us individually to help each of us grow and become better writers. In addition, he always responded quickly to emails and made sure to give guidance when a student needed it.

    Course highlights:

A big highlight of this course was the vast introduction to great stories, books, and authors. This course required us to read a lot of excerpts from amazing books and short stories from wonderful authors. I think when taking this class, Professors Colonna allows students to learn more about subjects, people, issues, etc. that we wouldn't typically learn about in other classes and I'm grateful for that.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students who will be taking this course is to have fun, ask questions, and to relax. This course does not bring any stress, so there is no need to stress out about it.
