    Course Overview:

    Professor Marra was a wonderful teacher they covered so much and I really felt like i was ready for the next class.

    Course highlights:

    We learned the basics of nursing in this class which is your foundation

    Advice for students:

    study the textbook and the materials they give you. I know its boring and seems like a waste of time but trust me its worth it.

    Course Overview:

    Fundamentals of nursing is an important course because it is the gateway to beginning the journey as a nursing student. It gives an insight of what nursing is, how it began and what the job of a nurse is. It is definitely a class that seeks attention because it good to know what being a nurse is about.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights of this course included learning what I did not know about nursing and experiencing my first clinical rotation in a healthcare setting. The feeling was in fact invigorating.

    Advice for students:

    The advice I would give future students is to study and read. Reading is literally the key to success in this class. Also, being that you're new to the program, start with doing nclex questions. They help in the long run.

    Course Overview:

    Fundamentals of nursing is critical in the field of health. This class has been the basis of my nursing education. I am a new nursing student, however our classes continue to incorporate the fundamentals course. This course provides the basic principles and procedures of a nurse. Our lecture course provided a basis of information that we were required to know for the lab. During the lab course we were required to apply our knowledge based learning. This course emphasizes the importance of the basic needs that we are required to have in order to be competent nurses.

    Course highlights:

    This course was I believe is crucial for the nursing curriculum. Fundamentals of nursing provides the crucial information we must know in order to be successful nurses. This course stresses the importance of basic skills that are required when practicing as a nurse. Every class is different, and the professors make everything. Our course had a wonderful professor who engaged our class in conversation each day. Six hours of lecture can be difficult and tedious, however we learned a lot. Interacting with other students in the class and hearing their ideas was a wonderful tool as we were able to learn from one another. Our professor also prepared group activities to engage our class in learning. I learned many many things in just one months time.

    Advice for students:

    Practice makes perfect. Upon completion of your nursing courses, you will be required to take the NCLE-X prior to becoming a certified registered nurse. In order to be successful it is crucial to practice questions that will be similar to that of the exam you will take one day. Managing your time is also a key factor in nursing school. Nursing school is a critical part of ones life. This is a time in which all dedication is required, nursing school is crucial. Take advantage of the review sessions that your professors offer to you. These demonstrate to your professors that you are dedicated and are willing to go the extra step to improve your knowledge. Taking advantage of open lab to practice skills is also important. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! Get help early if you find yourself struggling. Finding assistance early on when you are having difficulty with nursing studies is easier than finding assistance and doing well after you are struggling. Take advantage of every learning opportunity that you can. Nursing skills take practice and you must put them into practice.
