    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend MATH A105 to a person who is looking to improve their math skills. I would especially recommend that they take the class with Professor Crawford, because she takes the time to make sure that each student is understanding the material. She was very kind and realistic about the material that was being taught. For example, whenever we would learn a concept that seemed like it would not be used in the real world, Professor Crawford would give us multiple situations in which the concept would be used. It was nice to know that most of the material that we were learning would actually be used in our careers someday.

    Course highlights:

I really appreciated how Professor Crawford was willing to repeat the same concepts/problems over and over until I understood them. I don't believe that every professor would do that. Math is not my strongest subject, so I wouldn't always understand the material the first time around. Professor would allow us to ask questions before, during, and after class. She really wanted all of us to understand the material clearly. From that class, I learned to not be afraid to ask questions and to not doubt myself so much, because with hard work, I could achieve anything- even a good grade in a math class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course, I would recommend that you brush up on any basic math concepts learned in middle and high school. Much of the class should be review, but there are some trickier concepts that will probably require more work. I recommend that you reach out to the professor as much as you need. Do not be afraid to ask her questions, no matter how stupid you think they may be. She is very kind, and also good at explaining math concepts.
