    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Calculus is a required course for most majors, and Professor Elston does a great job of teaching the course. She is enthusiastic while teaching and is never afraid to go back in order to help you out. She also provides help during her office hours if you need extra help.

    Course highlights:

Coming into the course with only knowledge of Pre-Calculus, I learned a wide range of new information in regards to Calculus. From learning about derivatives, to integrals, and finding various limits. This course contained a boatload of information that set a solid foundation for me to enter into Calculus 2.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do all the homework that Elston assigns as it would help towards tests, and the homework grade can replace one test grade if it's high enough. In addition, pay attention in class and make sure to take notes and ask questions if you're stuck. If you need more help, then make sure to go to Elston's office hours. After that, just keep practicing problems, and you will succeed in this course!
