    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are a biology or pre-med major or planning on going to PA school, you are required to take this class. However, if you are not required to take this class I would still recommend it because it does give you a lot of information about the way our bodies work and how different and similar we are to some animals. If you are a person who likes a challenge, definetly recommend it!

    Course highlights:

Some of the major topics that were covered in this course that I learned was phylogeny, what it means, constructing evolutionary trees, maintaining homeostasis, different types of tissues in our bodies and what function they serve, circulatory system, muscular system, sexual and asexual reproduction.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

After every lecture and lab class, find a quiet place where you can focus and put in at least two hours of studying a day and test yourseld on what you know.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Honestly, this wasn't the first time I've taken this course. However, Professor Santangelo introduced me to specific study techniques which have really helped me in regards to grasping the subject. Its usually found to be a very difficult subject. But with metacognitive study techniques, I've been doing very well.

    Course highlights:

As I've taken this course in the past, I didn't learn as much as I'd liked to. But, now that I am re-taking this course and am using different study techniques, I am able to learn more about Animal form and Function. Structure really affects the function in physiology,

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study techniques really influence how well you do in class. If you review everyday, keep up with the coursework, and make sure to make an effort to put your best in to this class, I'm sure you'll be able to do well.
