Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it becuase there are plenty of resources to gather from to study for tests and the professor makes sure students have the power points before class. As long as you pay attention on this class and study hard, you are fine and will pass.

    Course highlights:

The highlights are the interesting topics I've learned about and the ability to be with friends that will help you out with any part of the subject. I learned many things about the human body and how animals are an essential part of our society as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise students to study hard and pay attention in class. I also advise students to constantly take notes during lectures becuase there's nothing better than having your own notes to comprehend.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I chose "probably wouldn't recommend" because of my professor choice. If you are thinking about taking this course, be sure to pay close attention in choosing your professor. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Clendening, however as the head of the Biology department, her assignments and tests were more challenging than others.

    Course highlights:

This course is called Intro to Cell Biology and Genetics. First, you learn about the various components of the cell, from its membrane to its nucleus. During the few weeks of learning about genetics, you read case studies and perform labs using your own predicted hypotheses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice in approaching this course is : Don't be afraid to ask for help! Help is offered in tutoring, from peers and from your professor. Although the course is a challenge, it's very important to stay consistent in your work and to be organized.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course for students who want to challenge their study habits and abilities in order to better their knowledge and critical thinking skills.

    Course highlights:

We learned cell biology, which encompassed the life cycle of a cell and its structure and functions, and genetics, which focused on the patterns of heredity and on the mutations that can alter them.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Focus on applying your knowledge to real life applications that you are unfamiliar with. Don't just study or take notes but expand your capability to apply what you learn.
