Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Chris is an amazing professor who is very invested in both the material he is teaching and the students he is teaching it to. He actually cares that you leave the class with an understanding of Play Analysis and all the terms he presents within his course.

    Course highlights:

From this course I learned how to pick apart a story, but more specifically stories with classic dramatic structures, aka plays. This course is based on analyzing dramatic pieces by only their text and not their performances. This is why the class is sometimes also referred to as script analysis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take the FYC so that you can take DRAM 09 with Chris. It's amazing whether you are a drama major, film major, English major, or any other major interested in dramatic literature. Specifically with this professor, it feels more like a fun conversation with your uncle who is a director rather than a professor lecturing you on plot structure.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course 100% If you are a drama major you need this class. If not, well it is a good way to learn about key plays in our history and teaches you how to break down a piece of text.

    Course highlights:

Being a drama major I already knew how to analysis a script, but this class did open my eyes to new works.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you read all the plays that are assigned. And don't be afraid to speak your opinion.
