    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course is a required one for my major, it was very enjoyable and well paced for the amount of work that we needed to cover, which is a lot.

    Course highlights:

I have never taken a psychology class before so as an introduction to pretty much all of the basics in each field of psychology, I feel as though my time spent in the class was very productive and every assignment that was given was helpful in further understanding the subject. In intro to psychology you go over everything that could potentially affects someone's mental state, from home life to mental diseases, as well as the actual chemical reactions that are occurring in your body that make a person feel the way that they do. For an introductory course, it is incredibly thorough and worth taking.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you review each topic that is introduced to the class the day that you learn about it. The lectures are lengthy and it is easy to miss details. Be sure to read the book that comes with the class, although my professor never really assigned reading it was helpful to use in case I missed something in the lecture. The tests in the class are not something that you can just walk into and pass, however, if you take notes and are sure to study on a daily basis you are guaranteed to pass. There was never anything surprising or that I did not know would be on tests, plus the quizzes that were given gave a pretty good outline of what the test would be like.
