Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although there are thousands of years of art history to cover, Professor Germann does an excellent job of seamlessly connecting all the information and various cultures without making it overwhelming.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were becoming more appreciative for both modern and past artists; artists who weren't even trying to make art but used it as a tool for recording history. Learning how art isn't just for the pleasure of the artist or others but to make a point about the society in which it was created. Learning not just to observe the formal elements of art, but also activating analytical skills to find a deeper meaning as to what led to a specific creation of art, whether it be painting, sculpture, or otherwise.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to come in with an open mind. No matter what major you are, you might be surprised to find out how influential art has been and can be and maybe even relates to you.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was very eye-opening to me and helped me discover a love for art history.

    Course highlights:

The highlight was definitely Professor Gallart-Marques' lectures/energy when discussing topics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't worry. It seems more overwhelming than it actually is.
