    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Whether you want to become a dentist, doctor or scientist, you are required to take Organic Chemistry. Many students are afraid of this course but there's nothing to be afraid of. With hard work and dedication any obstacle can be overcome. Organic Chemistry is not about memorization but learning and understanding the information given to you.

    Course highlights:

    I am able to predict products of organic reactions, how may types of resonance structures a molecule can have, analyze trends and identify unknown organic compounds. Enhanced my lab skills in areas such as distillation and recrystallization.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Study at least 4 hours a day. Practice drawing structures and writing mechanisms for reactions repeatedly. Watch Khan Academy videos on youtube. Try to understand and not memorize concepts so that you will be able to answer any question that you encounter.
