    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in retailing, then you'll definitely learn a lot from this course. However there is a lot of written assignments throughout the semester. If you have Professor Atwi, she is absolutely great but a tough grader. Make sure you expand on absolutely everything you write about. She doesn't give much feedback on the papers, but if you go up to her and show that you're trying to improve, she'll give you some pointers.

    Course highlights:

The last group project was actually one I really enjoyed. We were given a retailer and had to make changes to be able to compete on a more even level with Amazon. If you're the creative type, this was a fun project to really explore new ideas and overall, it got you thinking on a business management level which I enjoyed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Become really involved in class.Participate whenever possible and write very detailed papers.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it's an interesting class where you get to learn the inner workings of how a retailer business works. Most people would think it is solely about the clothes, but there is so much more to it than that.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was going to different businesses-one in particular was Tommy Bahama-and being able to ask questions about what goes on at a corporate level and so on. It's a really nice hands on experience to be able to actually see the company's headquarters and also be able to ask questions about the happenings of the company.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be willing to put the work in. If you only put in half of the effort it will show through the work you hand in. Then your professor will notice and it will hurt your grade tremendously. In the long run it is best if you just put in the work.
