    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you learn a lot of important information. Much of the information you learn in fundamentals will show up in N295 but in a lot more depth. Thus it will help you create a great understanding of the content learned in fundamentals. I would also recommend this course because it is challenging and thus when you successfully pass the course it is a great feeling.

    Course highlights:

the best part of this course is the hands on information you learn. In N295 you learn how to accurately perform a head-to-toe assessment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I could give is to listen during lecture and take notes. Many of the topics stressed in lecture will appear on the exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's required! But also it teaches you the essentials of actually being able to assess a patient- great hands on course!

    Course highlights:

My favorite part was assessing the cranial nerves- a lot goes into making sure they're intact. I also felt that I mastered reading blood pressure in this class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You won't get by just by paying attention, there is a lot to learn, so read the textbook and start early.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a detailed look at the physical head-to-toe assessment in the health care setting. It provides necessary information for aspiring nurses.

    Course highlights:

This course coincides with a lab. It was great to be able to learn the content in class and then follow up with an interactive lab that allowed us to practice the content we had just learned with a hands on approach.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice! There is something about physically moving your hands to the landmarks, feeling the human anatomy, and hearing sounds through your stethoscope that helps you to understand what you read in class.
