Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are a biology or any medical major I would recommend this course. This course will help you with the MCAT's and also gives you knowledge on life. Bio 109 gave me a lot of information on water and life and genes.

    Course highlights:

Water was definitely a big chapter in this course. Water has high surface tension which deals with cohesion and adhesion, high heat capacity and is a polar molecule. We also dealt with genes and DNA.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapter before entering the class. Also if you don't understand the chapter, there are plenty of youtube videos for each chapter that will help you. Record yourself rereading the chapter and listen to it when you are on the go.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He was a good professor who was willing to give extra help and answer any questions. You must read the textbook before class to do well. If you read and participated in class it was easy to do well. The course was interesting and fast paced. The lab is combined with the lecture which is great because it keeps all the material fresh in your head and compliments the lecture portion.

    Course highlights:

This course was a great and thorough class. I would recommend it to any student going into a science based degree. It gives a broad overview of all higher division biology classes. The beginning of the course does include basic chemistry so I recommend brushing up on general chemistry before starting the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the text book before attending lecture. Read the lab and background before attending lab so you can finish on time and do the lab without errors. Focus more on understanding concepts then memorizing hard facts. Study more from class notes than the textbook.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a prerequisite for most science fields and this professor really knows how to teach!

    Course highlights:

I learned the foundation of biology. A thorough review of the basics of biology which will help you with all future biology courses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Really read the rest before class and review after class. I know thats a comment thing that is said but it will help you actually integrate the information.
