Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is a requirement for accounting majors and a prerequisite for intermediate accounting 1 and 2. Professor Burgher gives good notes and good examples. Stay up to date on all the notes, classwork, and homework because it's all great practice for the test.

    Course highlights:

Topics covered included Reporting/Analyzing Long Lived Assets, Liabilities and Stockholder's Equity, Time Value of Money, and Reporting/Analyzing Investments. I also found the Statement of Cash Flows and Financial Analysis topics interesting as well as Tools for Business Decision Making such as Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Job Order Costing, and Process Costing. A lot of the topics we learned have been helping me in Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

An A is very attainable but you have to show up to every class. If you miss even just one class you will be missing a lot of material. Do the assignments and that includes everything on Wiley. Do the classwork. All of the practice is the best way to study because the tests are very similar to the homework and classwork just with different numbers.
