Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Kalaycioglu was very interactive and made the class engaging rather than the typical lecture style class.

    Course highlights:

This course was really helpful in understanding integral calculus, something I had struggled with in the past.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest going to every class because professor usually includes problems done in class in midterms and even in the final.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was great and she had office hours as well so students often went to her office hours to ask for help. What I noticed is that most calculus teachers in NYU aren't very approachable and a few don't have time for students but Selin is extremely approachable and she will help you at any cost.

    Course highlights:

The materials were challenging but the professor tried her best to teach it in an easy way as possible. I learned the basics of Calculus and the are very useful for other classes such as Biology and Physics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this class and you will learn a lot. Professor is great at helping even though it is challenging. Make use of the resources and go to every recitation because TAs are helpful as well.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She does really well in explaining topics. She does examples during class and often uses these same examples on her tests and quizzes.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to study and practice. Doing practice problems is what helps the most to preserve the overall idea of a certain topic. Her powerpoints helped because they were thorough, and she posted the slides online so that you may annotate them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be diligent, and pay attention in class. Simply going to the class is helpful because you learn vital information as opposed to just reading her slides online. She's a helpful professor and encourages students to maximize their potential. It's important to practice outside of the lecture because it helps to prepare for the final.
