Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Pfrofessor Coons is an absolute sweetheart and he really loves what he's doing. Some people might be put off by his rat impressions, but I think that it's really impressive that after studying and working with an animal for so long, he is able to give a class a live demonstration without actuall bring the species in!

    Course highlights:

This course gives an overview on several aspects of psychology; just what you'd expect from an intro course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend the lectures because sometimes Professor Coons' stories show up word for word on the exams. It also helps to buy the study guide and read the lecture notes before recitation.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is held in a large lecture and requires a clicker. The professor speaks slowly and softly and was very hard to understand. He was not very engaging. He made it clear that his tests would be very hard.

    Course highlights:

I ended up teaching myself most of the course via the textbook. The small recitations were better that the large lecture. While the content was interesting, the professor's presentation was very dull. However, it did fulfill my intro requirement so now I can take higher level psych courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Sit in the front row. Definitely, buy the textbook and use it. Make the most of the study labs. I'd recommend taking the course with a different professor.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Phelps did an excellent job of keeping the material interesting and engaging students in the lectures. I also learned a lot more in her class than I did in my high school psych class.

    Course highlights:

Lectures, course is a great introduction and covers many of the interesting parts of psychology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for the midterms and you will do fine
