Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is an excellent, foundational course in writing along with the many mechanics of the practice. Professor Barnhill was excellent for the resources he chose to share with us and his method of forcing us to depend on the innate gifts and talents we had as writers. There was no heavy hand micromanaging us. He let us find our our voice and provided the resources to hone that written voice. I am an experienced writer and found myself challenged and excited about what we were learning week after week. Prof. Barnhill has a good, even temperament. Kudos for him and the course all the way around!

    Course highlights:

    a. How to have control over your own writing b. How to raise and trust your own voice in the work c. How to better represent and cite your work and the resources of others d. I gained peace of mind from this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the reading and record your impressions immediately, even if you don't work on the writing assignment for the week that very day. Feel free to express your presumptions as they will kindly get reigned in so that you can truly know what you know!! Writing well is required in business. With Barnhill, you can learn to do that!
