This class was tough.
Prof. Dodge's solid class structure and clearly defined expectations make what could be a very daunting class into a manageable one, with achieving success not as impossible as one may think at first.
This course mostly focuses on the music of the Baroque era - lots of Bach and lots of ritornellos.

Advice for students:
Do the readings - trust me, it may seem a burden while you're reading, but come exam time you'll be so glad you did. Same for the weekly listening quizzes - if you actually prepare each week, the large listening section on the exams won't be nearly as daunting. Finally, pay attention in class. It can be easy with such a long class time to drift in and out and not really take in what Prof. Dodge is saying, but what you go over in class is every bit as important as what is in the book on the exam.
