This class was tough.
This course what the most well rounded course I've taken in my four years at university. Professor Chersi touches on everything from economic principles to the nuts and bolts of finance. Topics get advance as the semester goes on and ultimately you leave the classroom with a wealth of knowledge that not only will be useful for your future but also for the remaining portion of your college education. Everything we talked about in that class has come back in other higher level classes.
The highlights of this class not only have a lot to do with the nature of the topics, but also with the way Bob approaches examples and makes everything relatable to real life. The topics are extremely current as the financial crisis of 2007 showed how important risk management was and how little people knew about it. The impact of the policies and actions taken during and after the crisis are being felt now so the course is extremely relevant.

Advice for students:
If you're interest in finance/economics take it. It's incredibly interesting to someone who like to learn about these topics. If you are taking this class just to take it, I advise that you look for something else because the material can get dull if it's not interesting to the student, it is not easy material to understand, and Bob's tests are quite the challenge.
