The professor was very active. He made the class interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Agarwal is one of the best Math professors I've had in my career. He is really passionate about the subject and wants to make sure that his students understand the why things are the way they are and that formula's don't exist in a vacuum.

    Course highlights:

Matrices. That's the name of the game. But the big one is learning how to apply the properties of matrices to different types of problems. Vectors, Bases, Solving systems of equations, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the practice problems. Don't just assume that you will do fine on the tests. Cause you won't. Pay attention in class and if you don't understand something, don't be afraid to ask. He can be intimidating sometimes but he will explain things if the questions are asked.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is very difficult, Agarwal will push you and you must be ready to work hard to keep up.

    Course highlights:

As you go through linear algebra you will find a lot of things your learned are actually really closely connected. As you move towards the end things start to come together at a rather rapid pace.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the professor's study hours and don't skip class. It also helps to go to RIT study center and find a time when there are tutors who are good at linear algebra.
