Pretty easy, overall.
The class makes for a good mix of digital media and liberal arts. While it is a bit heavy on the liberal arts end, there is a lot of mixing with the digital part, leading into subjects like digital archiving, digital journalism, and digital literature.
One of the lessons I took away was how important, yet time consuming digitizing physical media (like books and magazines) can be. There aren't many resources for this kind of archiving yet, and there might not be for a while due to copyright laws. Another important lesson that resounds throughout the course is research. In this digital age, it is always important to do some digging on everything you see, and it's easy because of all the tools we have to do so. The digital journalism section of the course highlighted how flimsy and unclear reports can be, and how easy it is to get more information on the subject.

Advice for students:
Do all the readings, they help and are pretty interesting anyway.
