    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class but it is challenging and requires the student to actually study and go to tutoring

    Course highlights:

I was able to apply this on life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and ask professor for help !

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Physics is a course that is necessary to know in almost any field or career. Any advanced study in science, technology, engineering, etc. will probably require physics as a course to be taken. Once you take the course, you will find yourself more than likely applying your new knowledge of physics in everyday life. From opening a door to trowing a projectile.

    Course highlights:

Demos in the lab can be eye opening. Demos in simple harmonic motion and moments of inertia and how it applies to angular momentum was pretty interesting to look at.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Most people will not understand physics concepts right off the bat, even if it sounds like common logic. Make use of office hours and do as many practice problems you can find. Exams can only test so many variations of a topic so practice is key. Exams will be cake if you understand the ins and outs of every concept. Put in the effort early, because everything you learn from the beginning will be used again as the course goes on. Stay on top of things! Use office hours effectively. No one knows the exam material than the one's giving it!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Kaplo is a fantastic teacher. One of my biggest regrets in high school was not taking more of his classes. He uses many hands-on examples, and puts information in ways that everyone can understand. I knew that I wanted to study engineering in college, and his class solidified my decision. Physics was the highlight of my day, and I still remember the lessons that Mr. Kaplo taught to this day.

    Course highlights:

My biggest take away from Mr. Kaplo's physics course was the amount of hands on experiments. For every topic, kinematics, dynamics, electricity, and everything else, we always had a lab to apply the information we learned and see how it works in real life. For example, after studying kinematics, we had a machine that would fire a projectile horizontally from table-top height and we had to calculate how far it would go before hitting the ground. Our grade was biased on a piece of paper that we had to line up with on the floor. If the ball hit the center dead on, we would get a perfect score for the lab. All of the hands-on labs that we did in his class helped everyone learn the material much better than from just lectures, and it made the class so much more enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do it. It is such a fun class. It is tough, but so worth it in the end. Mr, Kaplo makes learning fun, and there are so many times where you wonder if you are actually learning anything. I learned so much about not only physics, but from all the real-world talks he would give us. This class is for sure one of the highlights of my high school career.
