    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Oliver is a great professor and he makes chemistry much easier to understand.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot in this course. It was hard but I learned a lot about chemistry and I now have a much better understanding of molecules and how they work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to put time into this course and do not fall behind or it will be more difficult.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Use a tool like CourseHero! Do every single problem in the back of each chapter as you cover them. Check them with CH. Then, before exams, do them again and only check answers this time rather than methods. The professor is very difficult, but he is absolutely willing to help those who help themselves. If you do this each and every time, you'll know how to do every problem on his exams and will do very well in his course.

    Course highlights:

I loved that the instructor follows the textbook in order and to the letter. During off-class time, you can gauge your learning with the textbook in a way that many college professors shy away from.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every chapter every time. Don't get behind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone. Although Dr. Oliver teaches fairly fast, he makes it fun and is respectful of his students. His homework and lectures prepare for the tests and quizzes very well.

    Course highlights:

I definitely gained a lot of chemistry knowledge from this course! In high school I hated Chemistry and this was such a better experience. It wasn't just learning from the book, Dr. Oliver was very thorough and helpful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say, get the ACS Chemistry study guide! The final exam has a national 46% pass rate and this book is perfect for studying for that.
