Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is incredibly insightful into the history that has shaped the present and in which ways it has done so. It helps a previously complacent and acquiescenct mind such as mine once was to question, to theorize, and to judge how what the world we live in does, and how it is done. This class is not only historically educational, but acts to equip young minds with the tools necessary to better the world in which they live and to learn from the past so as to build the future.

    Course highlights:

This highlights of this course are the lectures by the professor himself. An engaging and brilliant mind that sits with professor Terrance Cole is able to speak directly to you and get his powerful ideas across almost without effort. Out of just one of his classes, I learned more than any other class in a while semester; And out of a whole semester of his class, I learned more than most of the people who take college courses at this level. This class is understated in its ability to equip the mind with tools to defend against ignorance, and it is Terrances brilliance and captivating teaching style and experience that allows this to happen.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be do not take anything given to you in this class for granted. Read the material, watch the assigned videos, attend every class period; Do these things and I promise you will not regret it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was really interested and he was very knowledgeable. of the materials he was teaching. His tests were as long as you came to class and took notes. His tests were based on his lectures so you had to be present if you wanted to get a good grade.

    Course highlights:

I learned how and why the Japanese army was so lethal in WWII.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and take lecture notes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Cole is quirky. At the start of the class you it almost doesn't make sense and then as the class time develops, you realize what's actually being taught makes perfect sense. You don't learn just fact and historical things you learn about humanity, where we've been and possibly, where we're going.

    Course highlights:

Probably the biggest thing I've learned is about myself. If you really pay attention, read the readings, really think about what is happening and why it might have happened that way, you really get a sense for humanity.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into the course with an open mind. Willingness to read, to think on your own. Willingness to look at perspectives from the other side.
