Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because communication is critical in society, and being a good communicator will get you ahead in life. Amy May is an amazing professor and she is too an amazing communicator. You will NEVER get bored in her classroom.

    Course highlights:

She was interesting, kept us intrigued, and the class was very helpful and taught me how to present.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work and show that you are progressing, because Amy May grades and looks at each individual's progress, not having standards that everyone should reach (because everybody's communication skills are different).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I am only just beginning, but the Teacher contacted me early on, and really made being prepared wonderfully easy!

    Course highlights:

I am taking this course because I have stage fright when it comes to speaking to groups, whether family, friends, or public. So far I like the outline of the class requirements and tests, but the class won't start until next week so I can't say more about it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, read, and prepare in advance for your classes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Unlike the traditional classroom teaching style, DeCaro uses a strongly involved and near socratic method of teaching. The time I spent in his class was never wasted and I appreciate the respectful student-professor dynamic.

    Course highlights:

The persuasive section of the course was the highlight. Students all became involved in their topics. The ability to sculpt others' thinking was something I will be able to use to positively impact my community.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book! The lectures are very useful for improving your speaking skills, but the book is supplemental. If you really want to succeed read!
