    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course as it was a great introduction to psychology. It was also very applicable outside of the classroom to everyday life.

    Course highlights:

In this class we learned about the emphatic approach of Rogers and saw it in action through studying transcripts in class. We were asked how we would respond to what a client had said, and then the professor would show us his response. It was great as you learned through participation. We also learned about Freud's classifications of the human personality the super ego, the id, and the ego through readings and discussions. Other readings included works by Mowrer, Skinner, Kelley, Maddi and more. The small class discussions sessions were really where one could delve into these readings (versus the lecture which is more of an overview).

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This professor can seem intense at first. As long as you don't take things personally, you can learn a lot. Although the professor won't coddle you or your feelings, he means well and can be quite a joy to learn from. I definitely learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the class.
