Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A majority of your grade is based on participation. If you miss even one class your overall average can suffer.

    Course highlights:

The papers done were different than others I've had to complete. There are specific expectations that you are expected to reach.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention and participate in class discussions. Not only will it help your grade but it will be helpful when you have to write longer papers

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is an amazing opportunity to open your mind to new and different philosophies and expand your preexisting beliefs and ideologies. You get the opportunity to read and analyze great literary and artistic works across all periods of time. If you take this class with Dr. Foerst, you get her unique and deep perspective on religion, philosophy and how the world has gotten to be what it is today.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about myself than any other course could ever offer. This course helped develop and change my beliefs about the world, the known and unknown. It is truly not just another "boring" religious course. In fact, it's not a religion course at all. I learned about how the beliefs of St. Bonaventure came to be and also about Greek philosophy, understanding and respect for all cultures and belief systems and about my own journey. This course also helps develop reading and analysis skills that you'll need throughout the remainder of your time and St. Bonaventure and beyond.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice when taking this course is to have a very open mind. Do not write off Dr. Foerst or any of the readings for being too difficult. Try your best and don't be afraid to go to her with any issues you might have. She's very helpful and if a question you have isn't answered in class, she's quick to get back to you via email and open to meeting with you in person.
