Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I wouldn't recommend this course because the professor is very picky! For the mid-term exam and final exam, she wants you to answer the questions her way and only her way. If you interpret the piece of historical information another way, she won't hesitate to correct you and take points off. Also, she is very unprofessional when it comes to emailing students back and treating us like "kids," as she calls us. We aren't kids!
The highlights of this course would be learning the traditions of Russian Culture. Every week, you have to reflect on something new you've learned or respond to a chapter from the Russian textbook (which is in english; don't worry). You are not required to learn Russian, only its history. Additionally, some of the fiction novels that she requires you to read are a little enjoyable. Just try to focus and do all of your weekly homeworks and you'll be fine.

Advice for students:
I would recommend visiting her office hours to ask questions and get information about how she wants you to answer something. However, during tests, she talks throughout the class periods and practically gives you the answer. But study thoroughly; the tests are no joke! She will take points off if she feels you know nothing!
