Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is a requirement for economic majors, its a prerequisite for Econometrics which is a prerequisite for Senior Seminar. Without passing these courses, an econimics major would be unable to graduate so they are very important. Many students found this course difficult because of its math intensity, however, practice is key to passing this class. Practice all the formulas, use the tables, etc.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the two types of Anovas taught, the regular Anova and the Block Anova. For me, they were the most fun since they involved a lot of math which I liked. Also, they required deep knowledge of the course material since there are many steps and an error in one step could affect your score greatly, e.g. hypothesis set-up, statisitcs test, implications, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to take advantage of class time to ask questions and pay very close attention. The steps the professor goes over are extremely important for stastics testing in future classes so be sure to commit them to memory. Also, knowing these steps will allow you to pass all the exams since they are part of every question asked. Know the formulas by heart, even if the use of an equation sheet is allowed since it means you actually understand the formulas and how to use them. Do all the homeworks since they will be very useful when studying for the exams and learn how to use the z-test, t-test, F-test, etc., tables, this is very important. If you don't know how to use them, then you will not be able to find the right answer. Since Lee does take into account the sequence taken to find the solution, don't panic if you can't get the answer just do your best everywhere else. Ask your peers for help if all else fails, they could help you understand the material in ways you wouldn't expect. Best of luck!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Don't take it in the summer if you are not good with this stuff! However, if you do, take it with this professor!

    Course highlights:

Stats 2, usual stuff. A lot of calculations

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Again, think well before taking stats 2 in the summer. It is a hard course which runs fast!
