Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course. It allows you to put many of our societies problem into perspective, and offers up new ways of scrutinizing media and asking questions.

    Course highlights:

Taking this course was an incredible experience. I learned not only of the different ways in which minorities are portrayed through media in the U.S., but also learned of the many misconceptions that we have about how our court system works. There was a lot of group-oriented classwork, and very few essay papers. In one class, we set up a role-play where one student acted as an activist for social justice, and another one was a state senator.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give is make sure you do the readings. They can be very interesting and are not too lengthy for the most part. When studying, try to find similarities with the lessons of the readings, you'll come to find that many readings are interconnected in very unique ways.
