Not too easy. Not too difficult.
The course is informative, and you get a chance to analyze primary sources. It's a great class, and the professor explains it well. However, there seemed to be an emphasis on historical civil rights and social issues over economic and political ones. It's a good, interesting class, but it doesn't cover everything. The tests are also a little challenging.
I did learn a lot about civil rights, the origins of the LGBT movement, and other interesting historical developments. There was a definite emphasis on using and analyzing primary sources.

Advice for students:
Take notes during class and read the textbook! The professor doesn't really remind the students to read from the textbook, but the information will be on the exams.
