Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Such an amazing teacher who is passionate about what he teaches and the success of his students. The class is very engaging and his sense of humor and little extra videos to help you better understand the subject help tremendously.

    Course highlights:

So far, one of my favorite things about this course was his videos he shared periodically throughout class that relate directly to the subjet matter. It helps to remember details about certain things on quizzes and tests.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you need a Tier II gen ed, this is a great choice to fulfill that requirement. The thing is, you're not just learning about stuff in a textbook concerning art history, you're learning so much more from the teacher. He even published his own books that will be used in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for several reasons. Dr. Soren is an incredible teacher with a rich background in the subject, He does a fantastic job of integrating fine art and a history of the cinema into an interesting and enriching course. You will learn both art history essentials as well as receive a solid background on the history of cinema.

    Course highlights:

I received a solid background on Greek and Roman art and architecture, the development of Gothic and Romanesque style, the Italian Renaissance, Rococo, Impressionism, the development of cinema, the rise of the Horror Film genre, Expressionism, German Expressionism, Surrealism, Abstractionism, and Pop Art as well as the major artists and players in these genres.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you need to go to class, do the readings, and memorize what he tells you to memorize. Dr. Soren tries to make this class as straightforward as possible, so if you slack in an area where he specifically said to focus then that will affect your grade. Attendance is important and it will significantly reduce the amount of time you need to spend studying outside of class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Soren is a wonderful professor! So knowledgeable and makes the course interesting. A decent amount of reading and memorization but not bad!

    Course highlights:

Dr. Soren as the professor made all the difference. The TA's are also super helpful.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good notes in class because that information is directly on the quizzes.
