Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Tasha is a great professor that really cares about her students being able to speak and learn Spanish. The material was understandable and she was so helpful when you felt lost. The exams were based off of what you would learn in class and the journals. Great class and professor overall.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the class you will learn very basic Spanish. From numbers, dates, names, conjugations, and more. Very similar to a high school class but will more work. Definitely do not expect to not do work, but overall it is work it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the online assignments! Studying the guides of exams and cultural material is a must for this class. Showing up to class is also very important to develop the skills to properly speak Spanish. Plus Tasha makes speaking comfortable and fun!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If applicable, this course and instructor are both effective in facilitating the learning of the new language.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I was able to better understand the grammar of Spanish and how to work in groups to accomplish tasks.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There are assignments that must be tracked both in the syllabus and online so having one person who notifies others of these dates would be beneficial. There is a large vocabulary that quickly accumulates so developing flashcards with the terms would be recommended. One means by which to accomplish this task would be asking a friend to dedicate an hour or two to taking vocabulary from the book or finding and compiling flashcards online for the both (or more) of you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

MY first semester professor was Peruvian and so we learned a lot about Peru and it was very fun to expand our knowledge to Peruvian Spanish.

    Course highlights:

A lot of group activities I think they really help when you are completely new to something.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be pay attention, and do the work. Even if you aren't getting the right answer, keep doing it.
