    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you have an interest in medicine this class is the one for you. It is so interesting and you learn so much in what seems like not enough time considering all there is to learn. It's a lot of memorization, but it is worth it in the end.

    Course highlights:

The dissecting of a cat. It seems unpleasant at first but it's really hands on and you learn the most from touching and dissecting muscles and organs yourself.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Set aside time every night to review the materials. It will make it easier when it comes time for the exam. DO NOT procrastinate because it's a lot of information and you will not retain as much of it as you would like when you're taking the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor takes his time to make sure that he explains everything to the best of his knowledge but not too complex since it is an introductory course. He also makes sure that students stay engaged in learning during lecture by asking clicker point questions that count towards your grade and attendance.

    Course highlights:

The nervous system was the most interesting to me, because it was here that I finally had more in depth knowledge of how things happen in the body and thorough what processes muscles and other organs are controlled.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to go in weekly to office hours to ensure that you get any questions answered since the material builds on itself. Also, make sure to study for exams at least a week before since there is lots to conceptualize.
