    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it really gives you a deeper understanding of biology. This class is very good at getting you to know the details of biology and be able to apply them to bigger topics, like diseases for example.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were definitely learning about transcription and translation and being able to know the specific step by step process. In addition, I learned about cellular respiration and photo synthesis, as well as genetics. I really enjoyed learning about genetics because it is super interesting to know how the body works when turning on and off genes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course, definitely take the lab with it because they explain certain concepts well that really drive the ideas in your head. In addition, make sure you have a firm understanding of basic chemistry because those ideas come up a lot. Also, reviewing the material weekly is really helpful so that when the test comes around you are fully prepared. I also liked to draw diagrams or try to connect concepts so I had a better understanding of them.
