    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course spans over a wide range of topics, from population dynamics, to species interactions, and everything in between. The labs are a practical way to see what field work is like, as well as designing an experiment related to this topic.

    Course highlights:

This course opened my eyes to how interesting and detailed ecology can be. Some of the lectures incorporated guest speakers, which opened the door on what research my university was currently conducting, and allowing me to think what I possibilities I have outside of school. The labs are fun, and the teachers have great information.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Learn how to apply the concepts to research related to ecology. This is more than a simple memorization class; ask yourself, what do these concepts really mean, and I can I use them in my own research interests? The exams usually rely on free response questions, so be prepared to write a lot of information in the given time period.
