Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend Dr. Kumar's course. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about statistics. One thing that I loved about Dr. Kumar was that he constantly checked with students about our understanding of the material. He also had in class participation questions that not only was an opportunity for more points, but really solidified our understanding of the material.

    Course highlights:

I honestly learned a lot about statistics and how to apply it in everyday life, especially in biology. Being able to take information that is available everyday and use it to obtain other information through research, testing, etc was incredibly interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise future students of Dr. Kumar to go to his office hours or the preceptor office hours. They will absolutely save your life in this course and just will ease a lot of stress. I also highly suggest keeping a detailed planner of the assignments for his course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher was hard to understand and did not give examples as often as some students would like. I had to teach myself all the material and even then his tests were not like his study guides. I went to office hours every week just to get through the homework and understand the material better with one of the TAs.

    Course highlights:

I did learn some important concepts in this class that helped me in my ever day life. We learned how to come up with hypothesis and figure out how to reject or fail to reject the hypothesis by carefully calculating margin of errors and sample numbers.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this specific teacher if you are taking other hard classes with it. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on this class. Practice makes perfect with this class as well.
